Sean Oliver
Sean Oliver is the Executive Director of Life Anew Restorative Justice, an Austin, Texas–based nonprofit advancing restorative justice, community violence intervention, reentry, and youth development.
Released in 2020 after serving over 27 years in prison, Sean has turned his lived experience into a mission of restoration — co-leading ATX Peace, Austin's first community violence intervention program, and developing curricula and training through Open Doors Consulting for justice, school, and community partners across the country.
A former peer reentry support specialist, he walks alongside people navigating the same path he once traveled. His faith is at the heart of it all: he holds a bachelor's degree in biblical counseling, which shapes his approach to healing, accountability, and second chances.
Beyond his organizational work, Sean is an author and creator — his book A Servant's Tray, his YouTube channel Open Doors to Better Relationships, and his platform Open Doors to Better all reflect his mission of helping people build stronger connections and find their way forward.
